Joseph W. “Joe” Davis, 65, born in Lottie and a resident of Bay Minette, died Friday, Sept. 17, 2010 at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope.
He was retired from the maintenance department at Amps Bumper Service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Benjamin Davis and Alwilder Rider “Toots” Davis; and three brothers, William “Bill” Davis, Ernest Davis and Ray Davis.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Elaine Bryars Davis of Bay Minette; two sons, Christopher Davis and Joey (Malinda) Davis of Bay Minette; daughter, Kim (Russell) Nettles of Bay Minette; brother, George Davis of Stapleton; five sisters, Fannie Buck of Grand Bay, Edna Tolbert of Crossroads, Pauline Dovich of Lancing, Ill., Faye Scholl of Crossroads and Luverne Radford of Newport, N.C.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 21 from the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with the Rev, David Bryars, the Rev. Phil Bryars and the Rev. Joe Welch officiating. Burial followed at Bryars-McGill Cemetery in Perdido.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Phillipsville Holiness Church, 12420 Highway 138, Bay Minette, AL 36507.
Arrangements were made by Norris Funeral Home, Bay Minette.
