Joyce Angela Beams, 80, of Stapleton died Nov 2, 2013 at North Baldwin Infirmary in Bay Minette.
Mrs. Beams was born Jan. 5, 1933 in Bay Minette to the late Jep Mosley and Lilly Rhoades Mosley. She was a member of Stapleton Methodist Church, and a retired civil service bookkeeper for the U.S. government.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Omelee Dyess, Emma King and Verla Mitchell; and two brothers, Andrew Mosley and Rufus Mosley.
She is survived by two sons, James B. Beams Jr. (Regina) of Gordo, Ala. and Randall Freeman Beams of Stapleton; sisters Sylvia Saranthus and Evelyn Head; a brother, Winston Mosley; one grandchild, Dustin Beams; two step-grandchildren, Bergandy Parks and Terry Parks; one step-great-grandchild, Cameron Parks; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, at 11 a.m., at New Hope Methodist Church in Gordo, with the Rev. Woodie Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church.
Pallbearers are Dustin Beams, Dwight Herring, Robert Stone, Marcus James, James Junkin and Dwayne Beams
