Joyce Brown Wiggins, 68, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2013.
Mrs. Wiggins was a native of Mexia, Ala. and a longtime resident of Spanish Fort.
She was employed as an administrative assistant with the Alabama Department of Transportation for 16 years, retiring in 2012.
Joyce attended Old Spanish Fort Baptist Church (Faith Family Church) for many years, and would have celebrated 50 years of marriage to Charles in July. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and will be greatly missed.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Charles Edward Brown Jr.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Edward Wiggins; daughter, Susan Angela Wiggins (Christopher James Hughes) of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; and her granddaughter, Dalton Scarlett Hughes; many other relatives and very special friends at ALDOT Mobile.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Beatrice Baptist Church, with visitation beginning at 2. The family will also receive friends at Hughes Funeral Home in Daphne from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday morning. Interment will be in Pineville Cemetery in Beatrice.
