Juvenile arrested in Gulf Shores for burglaries

Posted

GULF SHORES, Ala. - On June 11, 2013, just before 5 a.m., Gulf Shores Police Officers arrested a 15-year-old juvenile male after responding to a reported car alarm and suspicious person on West Beach Boulevard.

An alert neighbor called in the suspicious person, leading to the arrest and discovery of evidence that he may be responsible for a series of commercial burglaries and vehicle break-ins around the southern end of the city.

Based on property recovered at the time of the arrest, detectives believe the juvenile is linked to a total of three burglaries and at least three vehicle break-ins on the morning of June 11. It appears the juvenile forced entry on the burglaries but all three vehicles were apparently left unlocked.

Detectives are working to identify and return the stolen property. Anyone with information regarding this case should contact the Gulf Shores Police Department at 251-968-2431.

The Gulf Shores Police Department urges citizens to realize the value of reporting suspicious activity.
