Orange Beach Police are investigating a crash involving a 14-year-old female who was struck by a vehicle on Canal Road, May 23, and airlifted to an area hospital.

At approximately 9:27 p.m., Orange Beach Police responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in the 25000 block of Canal Road. Upon arrival, the victim was located as well as the driver of the vehicle that had come in contact with her.

Police said the preliminary investigation into the crash indicated that the juvenile was operating a bicycle on or along the roadway. The girl was not wearing a helmet and was wearing dark clothing.

The crash remains under investigation by Orange Beach Police.
