PENSACOLA BEACH, Fla. — One of the biggest Fourth of July events on the Gulf Coast, Kaboom, returns to Pensacola Beach July 4-6 for three days of extravagant fireworks displays, family-friendly concerts and other entertaining events.
Kaboom is presented by The Grand Marlin and Mediacom, and is produced by Fun Coast Promotions.
The excitement begins at 6 p.m. on Friday at the Gulfside Pavilion as The Fort Morgan Slammers take the stage for a pre-fireworks concert performance of classic rock favorites from Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top and the Allman Brothers.
Country crooners Anna Garrott and Brad Caswell will perform for those in a honky tonk kind of mood from 6-8 at the Quietwater Shell on the Boardwalk.
The pre-fireworks concerts wrap up at 8 with Nashville country recording artist Woody Bradshaw, playing hits from his debut CD, “Lightning in a Bottle.”
The main event, the Kaboom Fireworks Extravaganza, takes to the sky at 9.
Other Kaboom events include:
• July 5: Guinness Book of World Records attempt of most swimsuits in a photo shoot at 3 p.m. at Crabs on Pensacola Beach. Participants must be 18 years or older.
