Kagel Clifton “KC” Phillips, 77, born in the Dyas Fork community and a resident of the Crossroads community of Bay Minette, died Monday, June 10, 2013 at his residence.

He was a self-employed general contractor.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma (Etheridge) Phillips of Crossroads; three sons, Carl K. (Peggy) Phillips of Magnolia Springs, Forrest L. (Debra Ann) Phillips of Perdido and Markus W. (Beckey) Phillips of Crossroads; three brothers, Lynn T. Phillips of Wabeek, Ala., Charlie W. Phillips of Perdido and Murray O. Phillips of Perdido; one sister, Carmer J. Lewis of Perdido; seven grandchildren, Crystal Johnson, Denise Taylor, Hunter Phillips, Calvin Phillips, Sierra Phillips, Matt Phillips and Andy Phillips; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Keith Falon Phillips.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 13, 2013, at 3 p.m., at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home, with the Rev. Cornelius Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Crossroads Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday, June 13, 2013, from 1 until the 3 p.m. service.
