Delia Harrison Kane, 68, a native and a resident of Robertsdale, died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2009.
She was retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 41 years working mostly in the Robertsdale Post Office and managed Ed Kane Farm. She was an active member of the St. Patrick's Ladies Auxiliary and the Royal Alotta Red Hat.
Survivors include her husband, Edward H. Kane Jr.; daughter, Carmen (Dewane) Hayes; two sons, Edward H. Kane III and Patrick (Emily) Kane, all of Robertsdale; sister, Carolyn H. Helsper of Pasadena, Calif.; brother, James “Sonny” Harrison of Robertsdale; and four grandchildren, Marideth S. Hayes, Claire K. Hayes, Avery L. Kane and Owen H. Kane.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 16 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Robertsdale with Father William James officiating. Burial will follow at Wynn Cemetery in Summerdale.
The family requests memorial donations be made to St. Patrick’s Catholic School, P.O. Box 609, Robertsdale, AL 36567.
