"font-family:">Katherine Suzanna Miller, 94, of Lillian passed away on Dec. 13, 2011.
"font-family:">She was raised on a farm, and her husband ran Miller’s Grocery in Elberta for 30 years. She was married to the first mayor of Elberta, and and devoted to her family. She loved her children and grandchildren deeply.
"font-family:">Mrs. Miller gave advice freely. She learned to drive at age 33, and drove until age 80 when she hung up her own keys (never had an accident).
"font-family:">She had a very personal and private relationship with her God, and was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Elberta for more than 50 years.
"font-family:">She was a talented seamstress, and liked to crochet.
"font-family:">Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husband of more than 57 years, John J. Miller; one daughter, Loretta Ulrich; two sisters, Anna Klein and Margaret Frank; and two brothers, George Frank and Lawrence Frank.
"font-family:">She is survived by one daughter, Dolores (George) Price of Lillian; one Sister, Elizabeth Hertel of Elberta; one brother, Jake Frank of Elberta; sister-in-law, Eleanor Kaiser of Elberta; brother-in-law, Glenn (Gayle) Robinson of Daphne; grandchildren, Jason (Sonya) Price of Lillian, John (Debbie) Price of Gulf Shores, Jill (Robert) Meszaros of Elberta and David (Jennifer) Ulrich of Atlanta, Ga.; and great-grandchildren, Jason Price Jr., Megan Price, Victoria Price, Valerie Price, Erin Meszaros, Janley Meszaros, Kai Ulrich and McKenzie Ulrich.
"font-family:">Funeral Services for Mrs. Miller will be Friday, Dec. 16, 2011, at 10 a.m., from St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Elberta. Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. until time of service.
