"3">Kathryn Mary Porter, 54, born in El Paso, Texas and a resident of Daphne, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011 at a local hospital.
"3">Kathy graduated from the University of Alabama, Magna Cum Laude, 1996, was a broker for Remax Realty and was named the 2007 Dixie Region Manager of the Year.
"3">She was an avid sailor with her husband, and a member of the Eastern Shore Choral Society. She was a dedicated member of Jubilee Baptist Church.
"3">Most of all, she was a loyal wife to Mike and cherished and loved by many friends. She is predeceased by her father, John Gordon.
"3">She is survived by her loving husband, Michael Porter, Daphne; her daughter, Diana Alling Goldstein, California; her son, Adam R. Alling, California; her stepdaughter, Natalie A. Porter-Klesnik, Houston, Texas; her sisters, Cynthia Hronesh, Mammouth Lakes, Calif. and Elizabeth Burton, Washington; two brothers, Patrick Gordon, Omaha, Neb. and John Gordon Jr., Florida; and four grandchildren.
"3">Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Monday, Sept. 19, 2011 at Jubilee Baptist Church. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. Officiating will be Dr. Paul Matthews.
