Beloved wife, mother, sister and friend Kathy Cooper Slover, 53, of Fairhope, passed away Dec. 5, 2014 at her home in Fairhope.

Mrs. Slover was born Dec. 24, 1960 in Birmingham, daughter of the late J.E. and Katie Cooper of Hamilton.

She was a 1984 graduate of Mississippi State University, where she was a member of Kappa Delta sorority and majorette captain of MSU’s Famous Maroon Band. She was an ardent Bulldog fan and supporter of MSU athletics.

Mrs. Slover was active in the Madison, Miss. community, serving as co-chair of Madison Ridgeland Academy’s Gardens of Madison County fundraiser and as a life member of the Junior Auxiliary of Madison, Ridgeland Miss.

She is survived by her husband, Roland M. Slover of Fairhope; daughter, Kaylee Slover Ellis and son-in-law Parker of Fairhope; son, Roland M. Slover Jr. of Nashville, Tenn. and Fairhope; her sister, Lane Cooper of Cleveland, Ohio; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Private graveside services will be held at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Colon Cancer Alliance or M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
