GULF SHORES, Ala. — It is that time of year again. Time to consider our beaches, our trash, recycling opportunities and ways to keep the Alabama Gulf Coast the most beautiful beaches anywhere.
The Clean Coast Partnership, a collaborative effort to coordinate city, state, business and individual efforts and resources for recycling and other environmentally friendly practices island-wide, is hosting the 2nd Annual Clean Coast Expo, Thursday, April 22nd at the Erie Meyer Civic Center in Gulf Shores. The Expo is free and open to the public from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.
Through their concentrated efforts, those involved in the Clean Coast Partnership continue working to find ways to make our Island a better place to live, work and play! The Clean Coast Expo exhibitors will showcase their eco friendly products, ways to recycling, eco tours, green building, clean marinas, bio diesel, and many others!
More than 50 door prizes will be given away including two tickets for an eco tour/dolphin watch on “Wild Hearts”, a 53-foot open ocean catamaran and four tickets for an eco tour through the Back Country Trail in Orange Beach.
Some of the exhibitors that will be participating in the expo include the cities of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, Coastal Cleanup, Kutter’s Ground Maintenance, Emerald Waste Management, Gulf Shores State Park and People Against A Littered State (PALS).
Orange Beach and Gulf Shores, along with the Alabama Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce, the Alabama Gulf Coast Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Alabama Coastal Foundation joined forces to form the Clean Coast Parnership. Working together, they provide tips on ways to keep the beaches clean, as well as information regarding being Sea Turtle friendly, protecting the Dolphins and recycling opportunities.
Please help promote the expo and invite your family, friends and co-workers to visit the expo as we support these efforts to help make our homes, businesses and community clean and green!
