Kenneth “Glenn” Lewellen Sr., 47, born May 17, 1964, a resident of Orange Beach, died Friday, July 22, 2011 after a lengthy illness.
He served 12 years with the Selma Fire Department and four years with the Selma Police Department before becoming a police officer in Orange Beach. He retired from the Orange Beach Police Department after serving nine years.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Sally and J.C. Lewellen, grandparents Willie and Guretta Helms, Adele Cooper and Rans Lewellen.
Survivors include his wife, Lynn Lewellen of Orange Beach; two sons, Glenn (Samantha) Lewellen Jr. of Foley and Andrew Lewellen of Orange Beach; brother Curtis (Carrie) Lewellen of Valley Grande; a host of special nieces, nephews and special friends of the Orange
Beach Police Department.
A memorial service will be at 5 p.m. Saturday, July 30 at the Orange Beach Community Center. A memorial service will also be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2 at Northside Baptist
Church in Selma.
