Kenneth Laverne Lyons, age 85, a resident of Foley, Ala., passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015.
Kenneth was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, an avid golfer, member of Glen Lakes Golf Club, president and longtime member of Moundbuilders Country Club, built and flew remote controlled airplanes, graduate of Michigan State University and a lifetime career with Dow Chemical Co.
Preceded in death by his parents, Asher and Flossie Lyons; and his first wife, Jacqueline Johnson Lyons.
Survivors include his wife of nine years, Gloria Lyons of Foley, Ala.; children, Terry Lyons, Laura and husband Robert Lind, all of Foley, Ala. and Hudson, N.H., Diane Cochran and fiancé, Doug Mills of Lancaster, Ohio; grandson, Chase Cochran; great-grandchild, Colyn Cochran; his brother, Robert and his wife Janet Lyons of Saginaw, Mich.; stepson, Warren H. “Chip” Gross of Fredericktown, Ohio; and many other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held from Swift Presbyterian Church, Saturday, May 2, 2015, at 4 p.m., with a reception following service.
