Kent Edwin Porter, 54, of Dozier, died Monday, Aug. 9, 2010 at Andalusia Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Laura Porter of Dozier; six daughters, Savina Porter of Dozier, Ashley Porter of Milton, Fla., Miranda Porter of Evergreen, Whitney Abbott of Foley, Chelsie Porter of Foley and Adrienne Porter of Foley; three sons, Kaden Porter of Dozier, Gabriel Porter of Fairhope and Michael Porter of Castleberry; eight grandchildren, Zoie Abbott, Kaleb Abbott, Lexus Oates, Nevada Porter, Christopher Porter, Maximus Porter, Matthew Porter and Brianna Oates; three brothers, Carlton Porter, Daryl Porter and Sherwood Porter, all of Summerdale; and three sisters, Brenda Sareigo, Gayloe Porter and Verla Nichols.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 11 at the Dozier Methodist Church with the Rev. Phillip Chance officiating. Burial followed at Dozier Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jeff Ard, Michael Porter, Gabriel Porter, Jim Faison, Glenn Kimbro and Clayton Blanchard.
