DAPHNE, Ala. — In order to reduce expenses and raise more funds for the cancer support programs offered by the Baldwin County office of the American Cancer Society, a volunteer committee made a decision to revamp what had been previously known as the Baldwin Barons’ Ball.
The event has been renamed the Baldwin Masquerade Ball, and will become Baldwin County’s premier philanthropic event. The Masquerade Ball will be held Oct. 31, from 7 p.m. to midnight at the Daphne Civic Center.
Guests of the black tie formal are encouraged to wear masks while they dance the night away to entertainment provided by the Tip-Tops.
The gala evening will also feature a seated dinner compliments of Stapleton Catering and live and silent auctions with chances to win exquisite jewelry and extravagant vacation packages.
By revamping the event, the committee was able to reduce the sponsorship levels and individual ticket prices, and offer some extra perks to those in attendance.
“It is so important that all proceeds raised from this event go toward the programs sponsored by the American Cancer Society, therefore, a change in location was necessary,” says Chairperson Pamela Rawdon. “We are excited about the upcoming event and feel confident the changes will please all who attend.”
The Homewood Suites by Hilton will be supporting the Baldwin Masquerade Ball this year by offering special room rates to those interested in staying overnight. Hotel guests will enjoy complimentary transportation to and from the event.
Individual tickets are $100 per person, with dinner and beverages included.
