Kids’ Christmas activities come to art center

The Azalea City Center for the Arts is doing several programs this December for education, celebration, and family fun.

The Center’s upcoming holiday event will be the musical “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever,” performed by Sunny Side Theater. Shows will be at St. Luke's Episcopal School on Dec. 14 at 7 p.m., Dec. 15 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

and Dec. 16 at 2 p.m. (Friday through Sunday). For ticket information, call 251-510-1808.

Azalea City will also offer a Winter Camp on Thursday and Friday after Christmas, Dec. 27 and 28 from 8:30 a.m. -3 p.m. The camp is open to grades kindergarten through 12th grade, cost is $75 and covers both days, snacks and all classes. The workshop will offer a huge variety of classes, including: improvisation comedy, fractured fairy tales, piano class, guitar class, music theory, rhythm rocks, how to draw faces, painting like Picasso, ‘Just Dance’ and a 50 song sing along.
