Jack Newton King Sr. of Elberta died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008 at his home.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Alice King; two sons, Jack N. King Jr. and James Marvin King.
Survivors include a son, John “Pete” (Agnes) King of Elberta; two sisters, Mildred Palmer of Satsuma and Marie Bell of Houston; two brothers, Eugene King of Evergreen and Bob King of Houston; four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16 at Berean Baptist Church in Elberta. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.. Wednesdsay, Sept. 17 at the church with the Rev. Robert Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Rest Memorial Park in Foley.
