Edith Lanell “Nell” Kleinschmidt, 76, a native of Marks, Miss., and a long time resident of Foley, died Sunday, June 20, 2010.
She spent her childhood in Memphis, Tenn., later moving to the Foley, Gulf Shores area, in the 1970s. She was active in the American Legion Auxilliary, Gulf Shores Post 44. She worked for 17 years as a LPN, for Golden Living Center, Foley.
Survivors include three children, Leigh (Dale) Sykora of Foley, Vickie (Dennis) Russell of Greenfield, Mo., and Artie (Susanna) Zumbro of Snellville, Ga.; sister, Martha (Everett) Baskin of Cordova, Tenn.; two nieces, Marsha Romer of Knoxville, Tenn., and Susan Holmes of Eads, Tenn.; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, other family members and friends.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the ACU, at Golden Living Center, Foley.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 23 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 24 from the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Pine Rest Memorial Park, Foley.
