Richard Nelson Knice, 75, a native of New York, a retired member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union, Local No. 28, New York City, and a resident of Foley, died Monday, March 3, 2008 at his residence.
He was a member of the American Legion, Foley, and the Elberta V.F.W. He was an avid New York Giants fan.
Survivors include his wife, Janet M. Knice of Foley; daughter, Lynn (Joe) Hope of Long Island, N.Y.; two sons, Richard L. (Barbara) Knice of Long Island, N.Y., and Ronald E. Knice of Houston; sister, Jean Horning of North Carolina; seven grandchildren, Candace, Brittany, Alyssa and Tyler Hope, Richard C., Kristen and Lindsey Knice.
A memorial service will be held in New York at a later date.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Community Hospice of Baldwin County, 277 So. McKenzie St., Foley, AL, 36535.
