Marilyn Iona Kolp, 72, died Thursday, April 17, 2008 in a Pensacola hospital.

She was born in Catalla, Ga., and had been a resident of Orange Beach for the past 17 years, coming from Monett, Mo. She loved life and enjoyed fishing and interior and exterior design. She attended the Assembly of God Church in various locations, including Bradley Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Arnold Kolp of Orange Beach; two daughters, Dezerah Kolp of Orange Beach and Laurisa Anderson of Tulsa, Okla.; son, Rusty Kolp; five brothers, Henson Royce McKissack of Oklahoma City, Grady Lamar McKissack of Pensacola, Fla., McKissack of Brewton, Bobby McKissack of Wing, and Billy McKissack of Pensacola; three sisters, Geraldine Riley of Columbus, Ga., Maxine Bell of Pensacola, and Jane Fowler of Bradley; two grandchildren, Monte Adam McCauley and Heath Anderson.

Funeral Services were held Sunday, April 20 at Bradley Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Avon Fowler Officiating. Interment followed at Bradley Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Grady Lamar McKissack, J.C. McKissack, Bobby McKissack, Billy McKissack, Allen Kolp and Art Kolp.

Arrangements were made by Craver's Funeral Home.
