Wilfred G. “Bill” Kranz, 83, a native of Harbor Beach, Mich., and a resident of Robertsdale, died Tuesday, June 24, 2008.
He retired from the U.S. Air Force after serving 20 years and was a veteran of the Korean War, involved with the Berlin Air Lift and other endeavors throughout his military career at many stations.
He was owner/operator of Baldwin Motor Co. in Robertsdale.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida M. Kranz; and a son, Alan Kranz.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol (Ronnie) Malone of Summerdale; son, Mark S. (Elizabeth) Kranz of Fairhope; sister, Lorraine Holdwick of Ruth, Mich.; brother, Lawrence Kranz of Harbor Beach, Mich.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:45 a.m. Thursday, June 26 at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, Fla.
A celebration of life service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday from the chapel of Mack Funeral Home.
