The Foley Event Center will host one of the Southeast's largest school volleyball tournaments Aug. 29-30 when the Labor Day Classic returns with two days of competition in Baldwin County.
Xtreme Volleyball, in partnership with Foley High School, will present the tournament, which promises to be one of the biggest of its kind with teams from across the region. Games will span across multiple divisions from varsity, junior varsity, freshman and middle school levels.
Baldwin County will be well-represented with local high school programs set to compete, including Baldwin County High, Bayside Academy, Elberta, Fairhope, Foley, Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Spanish Fort and St. Michael. In the 2024 Labor Day Classic, Spanish Fort walked away as champions of their respective bracket.
Though Robertsdale High and Bayshore Christian will be competing elsewhere that weekend, the Golden Bears' and Eagles' junior varsity teams will be playing in the tournament.
The Foley Event Center features 12 state-of-the-art volleyball courts, making it possible for the entire tournament to be played at one site. Each team will be guaranteed a four-match minimum.
