Bayside improved to 50-13 over all as it continues to strive for a ninth-straight state title and the 20th overall for the school.
Gabby Deshotel had 20 kills, four blocks and seven aces, senior Maggie Niemeyer added 15 kills, 18 aces and five digs in her final home match at Louise Moorer Gym. Virginia Pittman had 14 kills and 11 aces, setter Sydney Chandler had 53 assists and three aces, libero Victoria Smith had 12 aces and 15 digs, Jhalen Caffey had eight kills and three aces and Mary Frazier Hutchison had seven kills for Bayside.
Bayside coach Ann Schilling said she tinkered with some things and took advantage of big leads to get all of her younger players into the action.
The Lady Admirals were coming off a final regular-season tournament win at Homewood capturing the Silver bracket title. She said team looked off at times Monday but seems to be playing well after the long weekend in which they went 6-1 in one day.
"We got sloppy at the end," Schilling said. "We were working on a few things tonight and I was able to play everyone. That was good. I think we're peaking and playing real well right now for the most part. For Saturday we need to pass and play defense for regionals. We'll see."
