DAPHNE — Bayside Academy rolled to another area championship with a pair of three-set wins over Choctaw County and Cottage Hill Christian Monday night.

The Lady Admirals will now host the eight-team, 3A Region 1 tournament at Bayside's Louise Moorer Gym Saturday beginning at 9 a.m.

The Lady Admirals defeated fourth-seeded CCHS 3-0, then faced CHCA in the finals, again winning 3-0 after the Warriors came from behind to win in five sets over T.R. Miller. Both the area champion and runner up advance to the region tournament.

"We're playing with a lot of confidence right now," said Bayside head coach Ann Schilling. "We're getting better. When it gets to be about this time, we hope to be playing our best volleyball. We're going to continue to work hard and hopefully everything will fall in place."

Bayside is coming off an impressive 2-0 win over Briarwood Christian in the Silver division finals of the Margaret Blalock Tourney. "We had a really good weekend," Schilling said. "We faced some good teams and that helps us get ready for what lies ahead."
