FAIRHOPE, Alabama—The Lady Pirates came back from an early deficit to visiting Daphne to claim a 2-1 region victory Friday night at Majors Field. Fairhope improved to 8-2-2 and hold the region lead. The Lady Trojans fell to 2-2 in conference play.
Madison Freeman put the Lady Trojans up about 20 minutes into the match. Daphne then held the 1-0 lead through the half.
Fairhope’s Molly McClung evened the score in the 49th minute and teammate Ane Barre hit the go-ahead from near the 18 with about 19 minutes left in regulation (40-minute halves).
Each keeper made key saves in the match. Beth Tuttle had four saves for FHS and Valeria Aglietti made seven for DHS.
