BAY MINETTE - The Baldwin County High Lady Tigers led all the way in posting a 53-28 prep girls basketball victory over Daphne Tuesday night in Bay Minette.

Coach Robert Wills' Tigers held a 11-4 advantage after one period and never looked back. The win upped the BCHS season record to 9-2 and 2-0 in area play.

Coach Tereance Pinkney's Lady Trojans fell to 0-5 and 0-1 in league action. CoCo Knight had a game high 15 points to pace Wills' Tigers with Latia Pullum adding 14.

Jennifer Modispacher had six points for Bay Minette with Denosha Maye and Delcia Adams both netting five points. Rounding out the Lady Tiger scoring were Tihesa Tunstall, Cathyrn Williams, Darnesha Maye, and Jo'Nesha Jordan all scoring two points apiece.

Daphne was led by Victoria Mason's nine point performance. Brinasha Mason and Deveaveny Green both had six points while Alexis Jones had five and Erin Windham had two.

Two Pullum baskets - one a three pointer - made it 5-2 BCHS early and baskets from Darnesha Maye and Knight upped the lead to 9-2. Another Knight bucket and a Victoria Mason jumper in the lane closed out the first quarter with the home team in front by a 11-4 count. The lead grew to 21-6 on consecutive baskets by Modispacher, Tunstall, Adams, Knight, and Modispacher again before a Green three pointer cut into the lead a bit.

It was 23-16 BCHS when Knight took over and scored eight points in just over a minute to make it 31-16 at intermission. Pullum and Denosha Maye each had four points apiece in the third as the advantage skyrocketed to 45-19. The biggest lead was 52-22 late in the game as everybody played for both teams.

BCHS is back in action Friday night at home against Foley while Daphne takes on McGill-Toolen in Mobile Friday evening.
