BAY MINETTE, Ala.—The Baldwin County High Lady Tigers grabbed an early lead and never looked back in rolling past county and area foe Robertsdale 51-36 Tuesday evening in Bay Minette.

Coach Robert Wills' team improved to 15-3 overall and completed a perfect 8-0 area with the victory. The Tigers had already wrapped up the area crown before the game.

"It was a good win tonight. Coach (Paul) Marsh has a good team," Wills said after the game. "The effort was there tonight and has been all season. We just need to get smarter on offense. Our first half tonight was outstanding but we hit a little lull

there in the third quarter," Wills added.

BCHS jumped out quickly and slowly built a double digit lead. Twelve first half points from Denosha Maye led the Tigers as they took control in the second quarter.

Baldwin County got a couple of inside scores just before halftime to take a 32-16 lead at intermission. The score was 38-20 late in the third when the Lady Bears began

to fight back into the contest.

Baskets from Maddie Petite and Becca Baker cut the lead to fourteen (41-27) after three quarters. Another Baker score and three points from Petite made it just a ten point deficit at 44-34. But Maye, Latia Pullum, and Delcia Adams all had layups to make it 50-34.

Denosha Maye led the Tigers with a game with 19 points while Pullum joined her in double figure scoring with 14 points. Adams added seven while Darnisha Maye had five. CoCo Knight, Jennifer Modispacher, and Tihesha Tunstall all added two points for Wills' team.

Petite also had 19 points to lead Robertsdale (now 9-10 overall). Richardson had nine, Baker added six, and Rosie Blount scored two. BCHS is at McGill-Toolen Friday while Robertsdale is at Fairhope

Friday.
