MOBILE – The No. 6-ranked Lady Toros swept the No. 5-ranked Rams at Faith

Academy Tuesday night 25-21, 25-18, 25-20.

The three-set road win was part payback for a five-set loss to the

defending 5A state champs Aug. 31 at Spanish Fort.

"It was a great night," said SFHS head coach Barclay Kercher. "And to make

it better we beat them at their place. My team played together, minimized

mistakes, came out with an aggressive service game, passed well which

resulted in execution offensively."

Katie Godfrey had 12 digs, Amber Treace 18 assists while Katie Hogan and

Taylor Morehouse had four blocks each for SFHS. Camry Johnson had eight

kills and Shantel Federick 10 digs for Faith.

The two top-10 teams could meet again as early as tomorrow as the Lady

Toros are hosting their 20-team tournament this weekend with the Rams in

the field.
