DAPHNE, Ala.— After 85 days working on the roadwork projects in Lake Forest, completed aspects of the project include the completion of the inlet throats, boxes and tops on Ridgewood Drive, mountable curbing at medians on Ridgewood Drive south of Lawson Road and driveway apron repairs on the property side of Ridgewood Drive.
On Thursday, the contractor announced that the sod was 95 percent completed on Ridgewood Drive, and that the driveway apron repairs are completed on the property side on Ridgewood Drive south of Lawson.
New rolled valley gutter and curb have been installed on Bayview Drive from Lake Forest Lake Bridge and north to the U.S. Highway 90 entrance.
Median islands are expected to be completed in the coming weeks.
In the upcoming week, contractors expect the final asphalt wearing to be completed on Ridgewood Drive north and south of Lawson Road. All curbing should also be completed on Bayview Drive.
Curbing, drainage and tree removal work will continue.
Lake Forest residents can continue to expect traffic delays because of the construction during working hours. Flaggers will be placed along the affected areas to direct traffic.
