Eartis Eugene Lancaster, 82, a native of McCullough and a resident of Robertsdale, died Monday, June 1, 2009.
He served in the U.S. Air Force and retired from Frito Lay, St. Elmo in 1983.
He was preceded in death by parents, Irba Elberta Wilson Lancaster and Riley James Lancaster.
Survivors include his wife, Billie Gene Lancaster; daughters, Joyce Marie Hughes and Patricia Ann Mattingly of Robertsdale; son, Garey Eugene Lancaster of Robertsdale; sisters, Miriam Bosarge of Theodore, Flicey Boykin of Orange Beach and Roxie Rice of Robertsdale; brothers, Jack Lancaster of Robertsdale, Zearl Lancaster of Pensacola, Fla., Earl Lancaster of Summerdale and Albert Riley “Buster” Lancaster of Gautier, Miss.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 3 from the chapel of Mack Funeral Home with the Rev. George Sedberry officiating. Burial followed at Baldwin Memorial Cemetery in Robertsdale.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Robertsdale United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 866, Robertsdale, AL 36567 or to Springhill Hospice or to Mercy Medical Hospice.
Arrangements were made by Mack Funeral Home and Crematory, Robertsdale.
