Lanny G. Confer, 74, a native of Pennsylvania and a resident of Fairhope for over 35 years, died Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010.
He was the owner and operator of Lanny’s Garage. He will be most remembered for being a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lynn Ann Confer Cruder; and grandson, Lanny Confer III.
Survivors include his wife, Guitianna “Tona” Confer of Fairhope; two sons, Lanny (Dana) Confer Jr. of Jeanette, Pa., and David (Dawn) Confer of Loxley; four daughters, Tona (Jeff) Chancey of Bon Secour, Sandy (Chuck) Colognesi of Channahan, Ill., Kathy (Bill) Czajkoski of Custer Park, Ill., and Tabitha (Brian) Canady of Fairhope; sister, Arley (Jess) Miller of Plantation, Fla.; sister-in-law, Thelma McKinley of Plantation, Fla.; 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Arrangements are by Hughes Cremation & Funeral Service, Daphne.
