Laura Leigh Hamby Pledger, age 30, a native and resident of Fairhope, passed away Monday, March 4, 2013.
She is survived by her loving husband, Daniel J. Pledger of Fairhope; and constant companions, Boudreaux and Lilly; as well as her loving family, mother, Leone Jones of Fairhope; father, David A. Hamby, Jr. of Mobile; sisters, Ashley Anne Hamby of Birmingham, Elizabeth Hamby of Mobile, Sarah Ann Hamby of Mobile; brother, Clarke C. Hamby of Fairhope; her stepmother, Theresa Hamby of Mobile; Daniel’s parents, Joe and Judy Pledger; his brothers, Patrick (Melissa) Pledger and Ron (Courtney) Pledger, all of Satsuma; her grandparents, Bill and Becky Jones, David A. and Shirley Hamby Sr.; Daniel’s grandparents, Chuck and Kathryn Dopson; many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope, Wednesday, March 6, 2013, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Fairhope United Methodist Church, Thursday, March 7, 2013, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to The Haven, 559 South Section Street, Fairhope, AL 36532, www.havenforanimals.org/.
