Laurie C. Lauing, 79, died Friday, June 17, 2011 peacefully at his farm in Elsanor.
He was born on Sept. 11, 1931 to Bill and Marge Lauing in St. Charles, Ill., where he lived until 1974 and then he moved to Baldwin County where he lived the remainder of his life.
He is preceded in death by his wives, Julie and Annette; and brother, Dellis Lauing.
Survivors include five children Sherry McCarthy, Lauren Lauing, Dan Lauing, Mark Lauing and Linda Campbell; two step-daughters, Terri and Kim; grandchildren, Lauren Jr., Lonnie, Larry, Laurie, Dan Jr. Laura, Travis, Trevor, Trenton and Bryce; 10 great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Betty Trayor, Pat Cassidy and Mary Lynn Stodola.
A private remembrance will be held Friday, June 24 at the Lauing Farm in Elsanor. Call the family for details.
