Laurinda Odom, 87, a native of Luverne and resident of Foley, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015.
Mrs. Odom was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Stephen Odom; brothers, Horace Tindal and Grady Tindal; sisters, Jewell Chancellor and Lois Tindal; parents, Mary Etta Cook Tindal and William A. Tindal; and great grandchild, Abby Odom.
She is survived by her son, Larry (Geneva) Odom of Silverhill; daughters, Thelma (Kenneth) Feely and Mary Ellen (Bob) Joiner of Foley; grandchildren, Shaye Brock of Mobile, Chris Feely of Foley, Drew Odom of Colorado Springs, Colo., Lisa Manicke of Daphne, Michael Joiner of Foley, William Odom of Norfolk, Va., Leroy Skaggs of Loxley and Angela Witherington of Elberta; and 16 great-grandchildren.
The visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015, from 6 until 8 p.m., at Pine Rest Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015, at 10 a.m., at Open Door Baptist Church in Foley.
Interment will follow in Pine Rest Memorial Park.
The family suggests memorial contributions in Mrs. Odom’s name be made to Open Door Baptist Church and Christian School, 20774 County Road 12 Foley, AL 36535, or to the American Heart Association, 2159 E. Pass Road, Gulfport, MS 39507.
