DAPHNE, Ala. — Phyllis Law recently was named Daphne Middle School’s Teacher of the Year.

“She upholds the standards set by the Baldwin County Board of Education with honor and respect,” said Dr. Jeanne Fox, an administrator at Daphne Middle School.

“Besides being a great communicator to students, administrative staff and parents, she lives and displays the example she expects of her students.

“Law is always willing to cooperate with new initiatives and programs, and has, in fact, piloted many of these for our school.”

Law has taught for 17 years. She is a native of Sunflower, Ala., and attends Goodwill Church Ministries in Prichard. She and her husband, Thedric, share four children: Dillon, Carly, Candace and Gennasis.
