Leadership Baldwin January class focuses on economic issues

Summerdale, Alabama — U.S. Congressman Jo

Bonner and  Baldwin County Probate Judge Tim Russell were among the

speakers at the January session of Leadership Baldwin County, held

Jan. 12 at Baldwin EMC in Summerdale. The day’s topics for

discussion were economic development and coastal insurance issues.

Additional presenters were Robert Ingram, President of Baldwin

County Economic Development Alliance; Troy Wayman, Mobile Area

Chamber of Commerce; Judith Adams, Alabama State Port Authority;

and Carl Schneider, State of Alabama Homeowner’s Insurance

Commission.

The February session is scheduled to be held

on the Eastern Shore and will focus on art, literature and culture.

The 34 members of the 2011-12 class began meeting monthly in

October and classes will continue through May. Leadership Baldwin

County was established in 1989 and is sponsored by the University

of South Alabama Baldwin County and Baldwin County United. Program
