Lee Saxby Baldwin, 58, a native of Lake Charles, La., and a resident of Daphne, died Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at home.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked as an automation safety tech at Exxon Mobil. He was an avid sportsman who loved hunting, fishing, shrimping and teaching others his culinary skills. His sense of humor will live on through the memories of family and friends he loved being with so much.
He is loved by many friends in several states.
Survivors include his wife, Julia P. Baldwin of Daphne; son, Hunter Saxby Baldwin of Daphne; daughter, Kyla Lee Baldwin (Joshua) Paul of Daphne; one grandson, Camrin Paul of Daphne; his mother, Frances Crawford Baldwin of Lake Charles, La.; two brothers, Jeff Baldwin and Stanley Baldwin, both of Lake Charles; and sister, Lisa B. Theriot of Lake Charles.
Visitation begins at 5:30 p.m. with a Celebration of Life memorial service at 6:30 p.m. Friday, July 22 at Hughes Cremation & Funeral Service, Daphne. Everyone is invited to share their favorite memories during the service. There will be also be a Celebration of Life at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 24 at Boulevard Baptist Church, Lake Charles, La., with the Rev. Theron Watson officiating. A time of fellowship will follow.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
