Timothy Alan Leggett, 58, born in Brunswick, Ga., and a resident of Stapleton, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007 at his residence.

He was a professional truck driver with Synder National and KBR in Iraq. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War. He donated his body to the University of South Alabama College of Medicine for research.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Mable Elise Powell Leggett of Stapleton; one son, Kenneth Alan (Danielle) Leggett of Pensacola, Fla.; one daughter, Brenda Elise Leggett of Pensacola, Fla.; one granddaughter Destiny Elizabeth of Pensacola, Fla.; two brothers, Glonzo Klell Leggett Jr. of Charleston, S.C. and David Keith Leggett of Bay Minette; two sisters, Lonnia Fay Leggett of Mobile and Carole Joyce Tindal of Lillian. His life will continue to be celebrated by a host of family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24 from the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with the Rev. George Weaver, the Rev. Forest Weekley, the Rev. Alan Lawhorn, the Rev. Archie Shipp and Chaplain Cindy Still officiating. Military honors will be rendered by the U.S. Marine Honor Guard.
