Leo Rojek, 90, passed away Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014.
Leo was a beloved husband of 62 years to Lorraine (Tuchowski).
Born Feb. 4, 1924 on Chicago’s South Side, Leo served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He worked 44 years in the elevator industry.
They enjoyed being snowbirds of 20-plus years in Gulf Shores.
He was a loving father to their six children, Kimberly Baker, Monica Strobel (John Kilbane), Melanie Widmar (Greg), Andrea Hird, Jill Rojek and Tony Rojek (Angie); and cherished grandpa to Carter, Ethan, Kelsie, Blake, Tori, Jake, Samantha, Suzanne and Biz.
Family and friends will gather in April for a memorial service in Chicago (leorojekmemorial@gmail.com).
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to your local Lions Clubs International, Wounded Warrior Project or Crystal Falls Community Library.
