Leon W. “Buddy” Resmondo, age 91, a lifelong resident of Perdido Beach, Ala., passed away on Friday, Jan. 29, 2016.
Mr. Resmondo was a member of Community of Christ, Robertsdale, Ala., a naval veteran of WWII, charter member of Perdido Beach Fire Department, founder of Resmondo Boat Works, a proud commercial fisherman and charter boat captain.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Donna Mae Resmondo; and son-in-law Rhoe A. “AL” Thompson.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna Lynn Thompson; two sons, Ronald “Ronnie” (Holly) Resmondo and Joey (Tina) Resmondo, all of Perdido Beach, Ala.; grandchildren, Jason Haupt, Adam and Brent Resmondo and Carley Resmondo; a sister, Mearle Denham; brothers, David Resmondo, Tommy Resmondo and Carl Resmondo; other relatives and friends.
Services will be held on Monday, Feb. 1, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Foley.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 1 p.m. until time of the service.
Interment will be in Elberta Public Cemetery.
