Leslie Earle Brown, age 87, a resident of Foley, Ala., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015.
Preceded in death by his parents, William and Sadie Brown; a son, Richard Brown; brothers, William and Leonard Brown.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Patricia Matthews Brown; son, Robert L. Brown, both of Foley; daughters, Mary P. (Mike) Lingsch, Patricia M. Brown (Brian) De Grego, both of California, Leslie Ann (Marvin) Hartzog of Foley; five grandchildren, Matthew, Adam, Melissa, Dane and Courtney; six great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many other family and friends.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in WWII from 1945 to 1948, a member of the Michigan Center Lions Club of Michigan Center, Mich., member of the VFW Post 5658 of Elberta, Ala.
Les was retired from Clark Equipment of Michigan Center.
He was a member of Clark Golf League and Bowling League, a board member of the Cascades Credit Union of Michigan Center, a member of St. Aiden’s Episcopal Church of Michigan Center and a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church of Foley, Ala.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
