Lester F. Alexander Jr. passed away on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011 at age 80.
He was the beloved husband of the late Carol Alexander, father of Les Alexander (married to Tiffany Alexander) and Brett Alexander (married to Julie Alexander), son of the late Gladys Billero Alexander and Lester Fisher Alexander.
He is survived by fiancée, Julie Ford; brother, Bill Alexander; and grandchildren Sarah Alexander, Fisher Alexander and Taylor Alexander.
Mr. Alexander was a native and longtime resident of New Orleans, La. He later resided in Pass Christian, Miss. and Fairhope, Ala.
He was a graduate of Duke University and Culver Military Academy, attended Metairie Park Country Day School and was a former pilot in the U.S. Air Force.
He was a member of the Pass Christian Yacht Club and former member of the New Orleans Country Club and The Boston Club.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011, at noon. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Metairie Cemetery.
Donations can be made to The Haven in Fairhope and the Friends of the Animal Shelter in Bay St. Louis, Miss.
