FOLEY, Ala. — Let it Snow, the event named one of the top ten holiday celebrations in the nation by A&E Network, will be held Saturday, Dec. 8 at Heritage Park.

Heritage Park will be transformed into a winter wonderland of snow and more snow. There will be continuous holiday entertainment, food, beverages, train rides, a children's village with face painting, art projects and games. Ms. Claus will be on site as the official storyteller. The model train exhibit will be open to entertain children of all ages.

This year there will be an area of snow for children seven and under and an area for eight and above.

This event is an alcohol free event. Admission is free. Come early and enjoy the Christmas Parade at 10 a.m. and stay late to take advantage of Foley's fantastic shopping and dining.

The 26th Annual Christmas in the Park celebration at the Heritage Park pavilion and John B. Foley Park will take place Friday at 6 p.m. and include a tree decorating and card display contest in Heritage Park. To enter, an application form is needed which can be obtained at Foley City Hall or by contacting Rachel Keith at 943-1545. The live, decorated tree or card should be set up for display at Heritage Park today or Thursday to be in place for judging on Friday.

Friday, Dec. 7

Christmas in the Park — 6 p.m. at John B. Foley Park

Saturday, Dec. 8

Christmas Parade — 10 a.m. at Heritage Park

Let it Snow — begins after parade, around 11 a.m., lasting until 3 p.m.
