Library’s Rosetta Stone program canceled

DAPHNE, Ala. — Effective Aug. 31, Rosetta Stone online language learning will no longer be available to Daphne Public Library patrons to use on their home computers. Rosetta Stone has decided to stop offering its product on a subscription basis for online access for public libraries.

A suggested alternative is a free language learning Web site, www.livemocha.com.

The site is currently in the testing phase. Advertise-ments may be added at some point and charges may be added for some of the content and services, but currently it is free.

For further information call Daphne Public Library at 621-2818.
