Lillian’s Café and Coffee House in Elberta has big plans to kick off the new year and owner Kim Warner hopes everyone can attend.
“We have some exciting events coming up,” she said.
New Year’s Eve’s festivities will begin at 8 p.m. Friday night with a masquerade ball. The night will draw to a close with a countdown to the New Year and a large fireworks show at midnight.
The party will continue New Years Day with a cook-off at 4 p.m. Some of the best chefs in the area are invited to come and prove their chili and bloody Mary recipes are the best around.
“If you think you have the best chili or Bloody Mary, come show it off the first day of 2011,” Warner said.
