LILLIAN, Ala. — A Lillian man is out on bond following his arrest last week.

Baldwin County Sheriff’s officers arrested 73-year-old Ronald Colt Hafer Tuesday on the felony charge of sexual abuse of a child under 12 years of age.

According to BCS Capt. Stephen Arthur, Hafer is accused of inappropriately touching his 9-year-old granddaughter, who was visiting him with her mother.

“Based on our interview and other evidence, we made an arrest,” the captain said.

Hafer was released from custody Thursday on a $100,000 bond.

Arthur said the case remains under investigation.

According to the Baldwin County Sheriff’s website, Hafer has no previous criminal record.
