"font-family:">Lillie Mae Turberville Durant Peavy, 89, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011 at Oakwood Nursing Home in Bay Minette.
"font-family:">Mrs. Peavy was a native of the Mineola community of Monroe County and a lifelong resident of Bay Minette.
"font-family:">She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Bay Minette. Mrs. Peavy was a licensed practical nurse and had worked with Greenlawn Hospital for several years.
"font-family:">Mrs. Peavy was preceded in death by her parents, Irvin and Willie Turberville; husbands, Lawrence M. Durant and John O. Peavy; and her children, Lawrence M. Durant Jr., Amelia Annette Durant and Lynda Gayle Peavy.
"font-family:">She is survived by her grandchildren, Michael C. (Sandra) Skipper of Gainestown, Ala. and Kathy S. (Gary) Buckhault of Perdido; great-grandson, Michael C. (Tiffany) Skipper II of Bay Minette; and great-great-granddaughter Juliet Amelia Skipper of Bay Minette.
"font-family:">She is also survived by sisters, Molly Turberville of Mobile, Ervie Wright of Excel, Ala. and Willie Nell Taylor of Milton, Fla.; very special sister-in-law, Maggie Turberville of Fairhope; and a very special niece, Bonnie Baggett of Uriah.
"font-family:">Funeral services will be Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, at 11 a.m., at Mineola Baptist Church, with Dr. Larry Patterson officiating. Burial will be in Mineola Cemetery.
"font-family:">Visitation for Mrs. Peavy will be Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, from 10 until 11 a.m., at Mineola Baptist Church.
