Linda Johnson Miller, 62, died Monday, July 11 in Kissimmee, Fla., during an annual vacation.
She had resided in Sneads, Fla., for the past four years. She was born in Montgomery and grew up in Bay Minette.
She loved teaching, during which the last four school years she served as elementary school teacher with the Jackson County School Board, assigned to the Sneads Elementary School.
She invested her life, first in her husband and son, and then in the many students she has taught over the years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Estel C. and Nettie L. Daniels Johnson of Bay Minette.
Survivors include her loving husband of 40 years, William D. Miller of Sneads; and son, Michael J. Miller of Memphis, Tenn.
A memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Monday, July 18 at the First Baptist Church of Sneads. The service will feature a slide presentation of her life, and the many students she taught in the Sneads area.
She will be laid to rest along side her father and mother in a private ceremony in Bay Minette at a later date.
