Lionell Nicholas “Nicky” Rider, 65, a native of Bay Minette and a resident of the White House Fork Community, died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010 at his residence.
He was a deputy sheriff for Baldwin County Sheriff’s Department.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Sherry Rider; and his father, the Rev. Earl Rider.
Survivors include his wife, Sharron Branum Rider of White House Fork; five children, Lionel (Maranie) Rider and Andrea Rider, both of White House Fork, Chip (Christine) Stewart of Crossroads, Jason (Ashley) Stewart of Centreville and Nichole Rider (Jonathan) Yazzie of White House Fork; his mother, Agnes Rider of White House Fork; 13 grandchildren, Chase Rider, Brandon Rider, Hannah Taylor, Erin Rider, Kaylee Rider, Cole Stewart, Todd Harding, Karmen Harding, Charlie Stewart, Connor Stewart, Megan Stewart, Andrew Yazzie and Alex Yazzie.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26 at White House Fork Pentecostal Holiness Church. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27 at the church with the Rev. J.P. Lambert and the Rev. Fred Stallworth officiating. Burial will be in the White Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Chase Rider, Brandon Rider, John Byrd, Joe Ryan, Jackie Smith and Ray Bishop.
